God is Sovereign. He is ultimately in control.
God is Omnipotent. He is ultimately powerful.
God is Immutable. He is ultimately unchanging.
When we “view” God is it as a diluted genie in a bottle kind of wimpy grandpa figure?
Or do we see him as a hurricane of love and justice who’s ways and thoughts are immeasurably higher than ours?

I loved today’s study. One of the elements missing from many Believers’ expressions of praise are these “visible” expressions.
They are found in scripture and are GOOD!

I’ve heard my whole life that it’s kind of sad that we who believe in the Hope of the World go crazy for sports and rock stars but hardly move when it comes to expressing our thanks to God.
Just know that it is Biblical, Christ-like, and good to praise God visibly. Don’t let someone tell you that being demonstrative in your expressions of worship is a bad thing. Ever.

If there is a such thing as perfect praise, then there must be imperfect praise. That is, praise that is just noise. We might think it’s praise, but it is just noise.
How can one offer perfect praise to God?
A heart turned towards God, a child-like approach, and a total dependence on God are 3 prerequisites to praise that is perfect.
We know that praising God is a choice that we make, but we also need to choose to bring Him perfect praise. God initiates perfect praise because HE is the only ONE worthy of perfect praise. So it starts with Him.
Lord, help me to offer a pure gift of praise to you. Let it be more than just clanging cymbals, more than just static to your ears. I’m so thankful that You are God, and that I am not. You have given me a heart and a mind capable of choosing to praise You. Thank you for that privilege! You are wonderful and there’s nothing I’d like more than to bring you perfect praise today. Help me do so!

Praise is prevalent. Praise has always been and will always be.
God’s people have always praised Him.
All creation praises Him.
God is being praised in Heaven and will be for all eternity.
Praise is a central theme throughout scripture.
May our lives be centered around God and may we continuously praise Him as all creation in heaven and earth does.
