Papa & Mama Visit Russ Hutto in Valdosta
Tonight my wife and I had the great privilege to meet two very wonderful people, Jim & Judy, better known as “Papa & Mama,” face to face. I’ve been following Papa’s blog for a few months and he has got to be one of the funniest, most encouraging bloggers I follow.
They are “flying south” for the winter and just happened to be stopping for the night in Valdosta. Two months ago on a video chat with Brent & Tam, Papa was talking about their driving plans down I-75, and I piped in and said he’d probably go right by us. Fortunately for us, their plans did indeed include them stopping here in Valdosta.
Although our time together at the local Marble Slab was brief, it was definitely rich…and the ice cream was pretty good, too.
Papa and Mama have got to be the most “sweet” couple that I’ve ever met (besides my parents). In the hour or so that we spent together, I felt like I was sitting and chatting with friends I’ve known for years. I’m sure many of you who know Papa and Mama would probably agree with that sentiment.
I think we should all band together and encourage Papa and Mama to co-write their story! It is indeed a wonderful story!
Both my wife and I just loved our time with Papa and Mama.

This is such a great example of how people who are total strangers and may have never crossed paths in a million years, are brought together by a few commonalities. Blogging and Jesus!
Stop by Papa’s blog and say hey!
