From the indie movie “Once” – if you haven’t seen it you should.

It’s a quirky, irish film. I love it.

Not necessarily family friendly, but a great movie for musicians.

A friend of mine recommended a long time ago and I got around to seeing it a few months ago, and was blown away by it. Go now, rent, and enjoy.

Did anyone else think it odd that Amy Winehouse took home so many grammy’s?

1) Her music is totally unoriginal.
2) She is a pretty messed up individual.
3) She just seems weird.

Ok, ok. I know. Not the most solid reasons for not winning grammy’s but I was pretty shocked.

I was glad that neither Kanye or Ms. Winehouse took home the Album of the Year nod. It went to jazz legend Herbie Hancock. Yay, real music for the win!!

This one popped up over on Billy Chia’s blog. I dropped a comment so I got a tag.

1) My middle name is actually my first name.

2) I once sang in a cruise ship lounge (not for employment).

3) My grandma has a cool rockabilly song that I just found a clip of online from way back in 1958. It’s called Da-De Da.

4) My grandpa (her husband) had a funny song about sputnik, that I also just found online.

5) I won a schoolwide art contest when I was in second grade.

6) I used to be in a rock band.

7) I dated my wife for almost 5 years before we married.

There ya have it 7 random things. (well mostly random).
