Sunday Setlist [3.28.10]

1) Say So (Houghton/Gungor): Key D. Really excited to introduce and lead this one this morning! Went over well. There were a lot of smiles!

2) Hosanna (Baloche): Key G. This is a good solid tune. The church seems to connect well with this one.

3) Revelation Song (Riddle): Key C. This song is always full of win. The church seems to respond well to it every time we do it. I use this one when I travel and lead too.

4) Alive Again (Gary Durbin): Gary, a guest worship leader from Melbourne, FL (Bethany Ministries) shared a song he wrote this past week based on this week’s sermon text (Colossians 3). It was a GREAT tune!

5) Take My LIfe (Passion version): Key D. This was a good closing song. This song uses the old hymn text but reworks the tune and adds a chorus. Reminded me a little bit of the old Hosanna sound from the late 80s. Nice tune.

Everything went great this morning. I had a fun time leading Say So. I think as a brand new song that people are totally unfamiliar with it went over well. Definitely a song that brings a little more soul.

1) Washed By The Water (needtobreathe): Key A. Great tune. Soulful, bluesy. Fun time on ths one.

4) Follow After You AKA Psalm 63 (Russ Hutto): Key G. This one goes over well everywhere I do it. Thanking God for a great song!

Sunday Setlist [PWAC Jesup 2.7.10]

Had the great privilege of leading worship at Providence Worshiping Arts Center in Jesup, Ga today.

It’s been a while since I’ve worshiped there and I always enjoy the warm welcome and the freedom given to just go for it in God.

It was only me on an acoustic this trip, which I REALLY enjoy sometimes, because it gives me the opportunity to really just lead worship without the added responsibility of leading the band and singers as well. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, but sometimes it’s nice to just strip everything down and lead from a guitar or piano only.

Sunday Setlist [Morning Gatherings 01.31.10]

Today IS a great day! We’re through our first service here at SSCC. Looking forward to our second gathering and our night of worship tonight!

I had the great privilege of leading a song I wrote this morning. Psalm 63. I think it’s going over well. I’ve gotten a lot of good feedback on this one from other avenues and I think it’s going to be a good one for congregational worship! Love when that happens.

Sunday Setlist [Wednesday Version 1.13.10]

Had a great time at InsideOut last night leading worship with a bunch of teenagers.

Was very privileged to invite some friends from Valdosta and Jesup to be a part of the band. Thanks to Keith Hand (valdosta-guitar), Hamp Rogers (valdosta-guitar), Jason Crowe (jesup-drums), Cortni Joseph (valdosta-vocals) and Chris Moncus (brunswick-bass) for being a part of this!!

Walk-in:

Shackles (Mary Mary). Key Em. We were able to do this similar to the way that the majority of us knew. Kind of a Maroon 5 (This Love) groove. Pretty fun!

Opening Set:

My Savior Lives (New Life Worship). Key B. Standard arrangement.

One Way (Crazy Train Remix). Key F#m. Love doing this song this way. I think the kids really enjoyed it too. Cortni leads out on the verses and she rocked it!

Blessed Be Your Name (Matt Redman). Key G. Cortni led out on this one as usual and it was awesome!

Closing Set:

In The Secret (Vineyard). Key G. We just repeated the chorus a few times to really bring the big idea of the message home.

Heart of Worship (Matt Redman). Key D. Ended the night with this one. Started small and quiet and built into a big, big chorus towards the end. This one never gets old for me.

Had a great time and appreciate John and Shannon for letting us do this! It was great!
