Sunday Setlist [06.19.11]
Heading out in a few minutes to worship with the great folks at Providence in Jesup, GA.
Excited to have my beautiful wife Lydia alongside me and also her “little” brother Andy sitting in with us on guitar this morning! I’m excited to see him using some of the guitar skills I’ve taught him over the years for what may be one of the first few times he’s played in public! Go Andy!
1) Here For You (Passion): Key B. This is the first time I’ve used this song, so I’m anxious to see how it goes over. It’s a very rangey song, so I don’t know how singable and congregation friendly it is. But we’ll find out!! The words are SO powerful and so engaging…I think it will be a great call to worship!
2) Hungry (Scott): Key B. We’ll segue right into this song from Here For You. I think the message about being here to worship God and the “waiting” aspect of Hungry will mesh well together. One of my all time favorites!
3) Mighty To Save (Morgan): Key G. Such a singable and catchy chorus.
4) Overcome (Egan): Key G. Probably still one of my top 5 favorite songs over the last few years. Last time I did this I flowed right into the chorus of He Loves Us and it was a really neat fit. Kind of meshing the ideas that God sent His Son, Jesus, to overcome because HE LOVES US!
5) He Loves Us (McMillan): Key G. Optional tag for overcome.
Hope you all have a great day today! Share your Sunday experiences over at The Worship Community!
