Design Concepts for House of Joy’s new identity/branding for 09. The focal point is the text, the background and swirly stuff is collateral and can and will be changed from time to time.

This is my first real design work in my new Adobe CS4. I love it.

Tee Shirt “Preview:”

About Russ Hutto: I live and work in the beautiful Golden Isles region of Southeast Georgia along with my beautiful wife Lydia. You can find me designing in print for WYIM Publications during the week. I'm the Editor of The Worship Community. On the weekends, I'm usually volunteering in the Worship Ministry at St. Simons Community Church or traveling to help smaller churches with Worship Ministry Development. I also help mentor and coach student musicians and singers for our middle and high school ministries. Lastly, I'm an avid CrossFitter (CrossFit Brunswick) and love all things fitness and nutrition.

i like it! a lot.

i like it best on the shirt.

in the first two previews my eyes keep going to the last “LOVE”, specifically the letter “O”. i think because the design behind is bold there. looks like a bunch of white circles inside.

its not bad. i just noticed that first.

i love the design russ! it looks great!

very cool design. I just got Adobe CS4 as well… great software! I need to learn how to create T’s like that… our youth group is going to New Orleans this July for the ELCA National Youth Gathering and I’m in charge of the T-shirt design team… probably won’t be this good but I’ll def ask for your feedback when we’ve got some rough designs down!

@tam: WOW! isn’t it amazing the things other eyes see that we never do. I’ve been looking at this design for 2 weeks and I never noticed the circles in the bottom O haha!
