Nothing to Say

Have you ever been in one of those seasons in your blog journey where you just felt ho-hum about blogging?

I’m there now.

Though, I continue to read blogs daily, hourly sometimes, I’m not finding any huge desire to blog right now.

A few thoughts are jumping out at me as I type this…

1) Maybe I’ve got nothing to say. That could be it, and Hey! That’s okay!
2) Maybe I’m in a “normal” season. Maybe everything’s going along pretty smoothly and nothing’s jumping out at me that is even remotely worth blogging about.
3) Maybe I’m not “ok.” Maybe this is an indication that I need to stop and smell the roses. Take a break and recharge. I don’t know.

Have you ever stumbled into a season like this? If so, what was your perspective on it? How did you move out of it?

I think about that all the time. Actually I thought about a post on creativity last night because this very subject.

I used to be bad for trying to figure out what to blog about. Now I have a hard time picking and choosing. There are times when I just draw a blank, but it doesn’t take more than an hour of RSS and life to get me some fresh materials.

When in doubt, post something politically charged. That’ll get some juices flowing. :)

Yes. I think alot of people hit this season – several times a year. My problem is not that I don’t have anything to say – I just want to make sure what I say is “God honoring” and encourages people in their walk! LOL I mean, I will admit that lately I have just wanted to post “frustrations” and “irritations”….ha!

And, I agree with mud puppy – politically charged blogs always get everyone else geared up to start blogging again!

i will use what others are saying… NOT as plagiarism, but i’ll go to quotes and book excerpts.

BUT, one thing i do is write out brief sketches whenever i do have a spurt of creativity, then i’ve got lots on reserve when i need to pull something out.

    :)
